What bestack is

bestack lets you publish skincare and makeup routines ("Rituals"), organize them into a "Stack," and share them with other people. This page explains what information we collect when you use bestack and how we use it.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We use this to create your bestack account and to let you choose a username and display name.

Content you create. Anything you add to bestack — Stacks, Rituals, cosmetics entries, your bio, and any avatar image you upload — is stored so it can be shown to you and, for anything you make public, to other people.

Activity on other people's content. When you Love, Save, or Remix someone else's Stack, we record that action against your account so it can be shown (Loves and Remixes are public; Saves are private to you).

Usage data. We collect basic product-analytics data — pages viewed, actions taken (like creating a Stack or Loving one), and how you interact with the page (including anonymized session recordings of clicks, taps, and scrolling) — so we can understand what's working and improve bestack. This data is tied to your account if you're signed in.

How we use it

We use your information to operate bestack: showing your public Stacks on your profile, keeping your private Saves private, and letting other people find and follow what you've built.

When someone Loves or Remixes your Stack, we send you a one-time email notification unless you've turned that off in Settings → Notifications.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run bestack, and your data passes through them only as needed to operate the service:

  • Google — for signing in.
  • Cloudflare — hosts the app and stores any avatar image you upload.
  • Supabase — hosts our database.
  • Resend — delivers the email notifications described above.
  • PostHog — collects the usage data and session recordings described above.

None of these providers may use your data for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

When you delete a Stack or a Ritual, it's immediately hidden from you and everyone else. We keep a copy of it internally so that the version history of Stacks that were built on top of yours (through Remix) stays intact, but it's never shown or made accessible to anyone again.

Your choices

  • You can change your display name at any time in Settings. Your username can be changed too, but only once every 30 days.
  • You can turn Love/Remix email notifications on or off in Settings.
  • You can ask us to delete your account and data by emailing privacy@bestack.me.

Changes to this policy

If we make a meaningful change to how we handle your information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
